Cameron, Louisiana

June 30, 2004

The Cameron Parish School Board met in special session at 9:00 a.m. on this date with the following members present: Clifton Morris - President, Loston McEvers, Dot Theriot, Pat Howerton, Marvin Trahan and Rachel Abadie.  Absent: Dwayne Sanner.

On motion of Mr. Howerton, seconded by Mr. McEvers, the Board adopted final budget revisions for fiscal year 2003-2004.

On motion of Mrs. Theriot, seconded by Mrs. Abadie, the Board adopted policy revisions to File IDFA, Interscholastic Athletics.

On motion of Mr. Howerton, seconded by Mrs. Abadie, the Board approved personnel items:

Payment of Sick Leave

Payment of up to 25 days of unused accumulated sick leave for Carol Granger

Sabbatical Leave

Ruby Dupuie, Teacher, South Cameron Elementary - Sabbatical leave for professional development during the 2004-2005 school session

Termination of Employment

Aprille Daigle - Aide at Grand Lake - termination of her day-to-day status effective at the close of the 2003-2004 session.

Tonia Nolan - Teacher at Hackberry - termination effective at the close of the 2003-2004 session and the expiration of her contract based upon her appointment resulting from an added section.

Merele Trares - Teacher at Grand Lake - termination effective at the close of the 2003-2004 session and the expiration of her contract based upon her appointment to an itinerant position.

Appointment

Angie Styron, Food Service Bookkeeper/Superintendent’s Secretary (transfer from Purchasing/Secretary position)

On motion of Mr. Howerton, seconded by Mrs. Theriot, the Board received a report from the Superintendent on Personnel/Salary and approved a salary schedule for administrators, principals, and coordinator to replace the two existing salary schedules that were based on year hired.  (See attachment.)

On motion of Mr. McEvers, seconded by Mrs. Theriot, the Board approved advertising for the position of Purchasing/Secretary in the central office.

On motion of Mr.  Howerton, seconded by Mrs. Theriot, the Board adjourned.
