The Cameron Parish School Board met in special called session as a result of Hurricane Rita on this date with the following members present: Loston McEvers, Dwayne Sanner, Dot Theriot, Pat Howerton, Marvin Trahan and Mrs. Rachel Abadie. Absent: Clifton Morris.
Mr. Loston McEvers, Board President, called the special meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.
On motion of Mrs. Theriot, seconded by Mr. Howerton, the Board approved revisions to the 2005-2006 School Session Calendar (as per attached).
On motion of Mrs. Theriot, seconded by Mr. Howerton, the Board received the Superintendent’s report on instructional patterns for schools (as per attached).
On motion of Mrs. Theriot, seconded by Mr. Sanner, the Board received a report on the status of students in relationships to school food services per Ms. Stephanie Rodrigue.
On motion of Mrs. Theriot, seconded by Mr. Sanner, the Board received information with discussion regarding school uniform adjustment with continuation of dress code (administer 10/31). Also, after December 31, 2005, a student enrolled in Cameron Parish Schools during 2005-2006 prior to Hurricane Rita, who has experienced the opportunity to attend school in Cameron Parish after Hurricane Rita.
On motion of Ms. Abadie, seconded by Mr. Sanner, the Board adjourned the next meeting at 4:00 p.m., Monday, November 12, 2005 at Grand Lake High School.
