Parish of Cameron

            The Parishwide School District Board met in a meeting on June 29^th, 2006 at 10:00 a.m.

            On motion of Mr. Howerton, seconded by Mrs. Abadie, the Board approved the election of Mr. Loston McEvers as Vice Chairman of the Parishwide School District Board; also the appointment of Mrs. Theriot as Secretary; appointment of Mr. Howerton as Treasurer and the Official Journal being the Cameron Pilot.

            On motion of Mr. Howerton, seconded by Mrs. Theriot, the Board adopted the Ordinance providing for the levy by the District for the year of 2006 of an ad valorem tax of ten (10) mills, the proceeds of which shall be dedicated and used only for the purpose of giving additional support to the maintenance, improvement and operations of the public’s elementary and secondary school system in the Parish of Cameron, all as authorized by the Act.
