The Cameron Parish School Board met at its regular meeting on this date, members in attendance are: Tracy Carter, Dot Theriot, Marsha Trahan, Dwayne Sanner, Karen Nunez, James Boudreaux and R. Scott Nunez.
The prayer and the pledge were led by Mrs. Trahan and Mr. Sanner.
On the motion of Mrs. Nunez, seconded by Mrs. Carter, the Board approved the agenda, as presented by the Superintendent.
On the motion of Mr. Boudreaux, seconded by Mrs. Carter, the Board approved the board minutes of the regular meeting on May 9, 2011, as presented by the Superintendent.
On the motion of Mrs. Trahan, seconded by Mr. Nunez, the Board approved the following financial issues, as presented by Mrs. Smythe.
Payment of the bills
Financial Statement and Reports of Current Investments
Acceptance of Final Budget for close of 2011 fiscal year
On the motion of Mrs. Trahan, seconded by Mr. Nunez, the Board received monthly update on FEMA issues, with overall payments of $46,617,246.43 (Rita, Gustav and Ike payments) to date, per spread sheet, $14,494,291.82 in request for funds submitted to be paid, as presented by Ms. Cisneros.
On the motion of Mr. Boudreaux, seconded by Mrs. Nunez, the Board approved granting authorization to Armstrong Louisiana, LLC to assign interest to Stone Energy Offshore, LLC for the 320 acre lease in Section 16-15-15, as presented by Mrs. Charles Wilson.
On the motion of Mr. Nunez, seconded by Mrs. Nunez, the Board received report from Architect David Brossett on Bus Maintenance and Warehouse Facilities, as presented by the Superintendent.
On the motion of Mrs. Nunez, seconded by Mrs. Carter, the Board received report from Architect Randy Broussard on revisions made to design of Johnson Bayou High School rebuild project to meet FEMA participation requirements, as presented by the Superintendent.
On the motion of Mr. Nunez, seconded by Mrs. Nunez, the Board approved entering into non-binding agreements with the following restoration contracts for Large Loss Turn Key Projects for the new fiscal year, as presented by Mr. James Hoffpauir, Project Management Team.

On the motion of Mrs. Nunez, seconded by Mr. Boudreaux, the Board approved improvements and renovations to the Hackberry High School Baseball Field under Special Projects funding at a cost of $34,283. through Landscape Management, sole quote on dirt work, irrigation and hydro-seeding, as presented by Mr. Dwayne Sanner and Project Management.
On the motion of Mrs. Nunez, seconded by Mrs. Carter, the Board approved current construction bid activities, as presented by James Hoffpauir, Project Management.

On the motion of Mrs. Nunez, seconded by Mrs. Carter, the Board approved authorizing the Superintendent to advertise for new bids and accept low bids on currently advertised projects due to requisite number of advertising days and a need to move forward on projects, as presented by the Superintendent.
On the motion of Mrs. Nunez, seconded by Mrs. Carter, the Board received update on current FEMA, CDBG and General Fund Construction, Repairs, and Renovations to permanent and temporary sites' projects from Hoffpauir Architects, LLC, Cameron Parish School Board's Project Management Firm, as presented by James Hoffpauir, Architect, and Selena Cisneros, Engineer, Superintendent and Project Architects.
On the motion of Mrs. Nunez, seconded by Mrs. Carter, the Board received $ 24,353.63 refund from M Space Holdings, LLC, on lease of South Cameron High School Temporary Campus, as presented by Ms. Selena Cisneros, Project Management.
On the motion of Mrs. Nunez, seconded by Mr. Sanner, the Board approved low bidders for the following bids, as presented by Mrs. Anna Murphy.

On the motion of Mrs. Nunez, seconded by Mr. Nunez, the Board approved the Personnel Report, as presented by Superintendent.
On the motion of Mrs. Nunez, seconded by Mr. Boudreaux, the Board approved a 2:00 p.m. starting time for the July 11, 2011 regular monthly meeting to include a School Board Member Training by Hammond and Sills, attorney firm specializing in school law, as presented by the Superintendent.
On the motion of Mrs. Nunez, seconded by Mrs. Trahan, the Board adjourned the regular school board meeting.

On the motion of Mr. Boudreaux, seconded by Mr. Nunez the Board approved the transfer of Mrs. Paulette Campbell from Johnson Bayou High School to Hackberry High School, effective August 9, 2011.
