The Cameron Parish School Board met at its regular meeting on this date at 5:00 pm and meeting was called to order, members in attendance were: Robin Morales, Sheila Miller, Christi Labove, Telesha Bertrand and Sharon Picou

On the motion of Mrs. Miller, seconded by Mrs. Bertrand, the Board approved the agenda.

On the motion of Mrs. Miller, seconded by Mrs. Morales, the Board approved the board minutes of the March 15, 2021 regular meeting of the Cameron Parish School Board, as presented by the Superintendent.

On the motion of Mrs. Miller, seconded by Mrs. Bertrand, the Board approved the following insurance items as presented by Nancy Sylvest- Arthur J. Gallagher & Co and Superintendent:

· Cyber Liability (Covers the school district’s exposure related to privacy breach, digital restoration, security liability, release of student records, etc.)

On the motion of Mrs. Miller, seconded by Mrs. Bertrand, the Board approved the property insurance with the stipulation that the final quote to be received within the next 10 days not exceed 2.2 million and that Amerisk quote be excluded from consideration, as presented by Nancy Sylvest- Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.

On the motion of Mrs. Miller, seconded by Mrs. Morales, the Board approved payment of the bills, as presented by Mrs. Michelle Trahan.

The Board received Financial Statement and Reports of Current Investments, as presented by Mrs. Michelle Trahan.

On the motion of Mrs. Miller, seconded by Mrs. Picou, the Board approved to amend the Budget for the 2020-2021 fiscal year, as presented by Mrs. Trahan.

On the motion of Mrs. Miller, seconded by Mrs. Picou, the Board approved allowing Johnson Bayou High School to open credit card account with Horizon Bank/ Iberia Bank, as presented by Mrs. Michelle Trahan.

On the motion of Mrs. Miller, seconded by Mrs. Picou the Board approved taking a Roll Call Vote to adopt millage rates for the tax year 2021 as presented by Mrs. Michelle Trahan:

The Board received information on the monthly report on property income as prepared by Mr. Tom Barrett and Mr. Mike Cassidy- Cameron Parish District Attorney office.

The Board received reports on current construction bid activities, as presented by Mr. James Hoffpauir, Hoffpauir Project Management Team:

South Cameron High School Main School Restoration- Out for bid on April 15,2021- Bids to be received May 11. 2021
Administration Building Restoration- Phase I- First Floor- Out for bid May 6, 2021. Bids to be received June 3, 2021

On the motion of Mrs. Miller, seconded by Mrs. Picou, the Board approved the following:

Grand Lake High School Exterior Campus Lighting- bids to be received April 8, 2021- Preferred Electric, Inc.- Low Bidder
Audrey Memorial Maintenance Facility Restoration- bids to be received April 8, 2021- Alfred Palmer Inc.- Low Bidder
South Cameron High School- Gym Demo- Henderson-Low Bidder received April 15,2021
South Cameron High School- Playground- Bid 2021-09-15- bids received April 16, 2021- Hahn Enterprises –low bidder

On the motion of Mrs. Miller, seconded by Mrs. Morales, the Board approved authorizing the Superintendent to advertise for new bids and accept low bids on currently advertised projects due to requisite number of advertising days and a need to move forward on projects, as presented by the Superintendent.

The Board received updates on current FEMA, CDBG and General Fund Construction, Repairs, and Renovations to permanent and temporary sites' projects from Hoffpauir Architects, LLC, Cameron Parish School Board's Project Management Firm, as presented by Hoffpauir Architects, LLC and Project Architects.

On the motion of Mrs. Miller, seconded by Mrs. Picou, the Board approved the 13^th check allocation for the 2020-2021 fiscal year, as presented by the Superintendent.

On the motion of Mrs. Miller, seconded by Mrs. Picou, the Board approved to rescind Mrs. Miller’s original motion of 13^th check approval.

On the motion of Mrs. Miller, seconded by Mrs. Picou, the Board approved the 13^th check allocation for the 2020-2021 school year at the 4% with a minimum amount of $750, as presented by the Superintendent.

On the motion of Mrs. Miller, seconded by Mr. Delcambre, the Board approved the 2021-2022 Cameron Parish School District Calendar, Option B, as presented by the Superintendent.

On the motion of Mr. Delcambre, seconded by Mrs. Miller, the Board reviewed the 2020-2021 Cameron Parish School District calendar and approved changes, as presented by the Superintendent.

On the motion of Mrs. Miller, seconded by Mrs. Picou, the Board approved the annual continued employment resolution pursuant to ACT 745 of 1977 Louisiana Legislature providing that a support and substitute employee shall have the same probability for employment after the 2021 summer vacation period or another holiday, as the support and substitute employee had prior to the beginning of the vacation period, as presented by the Superintendent.

The Board received updates on Hurricane Laura/Delta and COVID 19, as presented by the Superintendent

The Board received the Superintendent’s Report, as presented by the Superintendent.

On the motion of Mrs. Picou, seconded by Mrs. Miller, the Board adjourned the regular school board meeting at 5:27 pm.
