  3. The number of annual leave days granted to the employee shall be based on the length of service as a Cameron Parish School System employee as of July 1.  Length of service shall be computed on a fiscal year basis.  An employee shall be employed and on the job for at least six months or more prior to the end of the fiscal year to receive credit for a year’s service.

  4. Employees with previous employment experience in Cameron Parish, who are hired as a twelve (12) month employee, will receive credit for their years of service in the system when computing their annual leave.  Previous employment experience is defined as any full time employment experience with the Cameron Parish School Board.  Employment experience is not required to be consecutive or uninterrupted.

  5. Annual leave is credited to an active full time twelve month employee on the start of the new fiscal year (July 1) based upon the employee’s total years (or months) of experience with the Cameron Parish School Board as of the end of the previous fiscal year (June 30).

All leave must be requested on the approved Application for Annual Leave form in advance of the annual leave dates requested.  All annual leave shall be applied for and approved by the Superintendent or the employee’s immediate supervisor.  Employees shall work with their immediate supervisor to ensure their annual leave days do not interfere with expected job duties at the time leave is requested.
