CLASS RANKINGS

In order to be uniform and consistent in determining class rankings of students in Cameron Parish, beginning with the students entering the 9th grade in 2017-2018 graduating in the 2020-2021 school year and beyond, any candidate for graduation obtaining a 3.5 grade-point average (GPA) or above on a 5.0 scale shall be considered an honor graduate regardless of curriculum.

SELECTION OF TOPS UNIVERSITY DIPLOMA (HONOR GRADUATES)

2. Curriculum Requirements

A.   The course requirements for TOPS University Diploma will be required of Cameron Parish School System (CPSS) honor graduates.

B.   Cumulative Core GPA shall be derived from the transcript produced through the Student Transcript System (STS) Louisiana State Department of Education Database.

C.   Grade-point will not be rounded.

D.   All credits must be awarded by a state-approved school.

3. Enrollment Status
   
   Students must be enrolled in a state approved high school the final two years leading to graduation.
   
   

4. Recognition
   
   These students shall be recognized and wear color coded honor cords at graduation.

SELECTION OF JUMP START TOPS TECH EXCELLENCE GRADUATES

1. Curriculum Requirements

1. 1. The course requirements for Jump Start TOPS Tech Diploma will be required of CPSS Jump Start TOPS Tech Excellence graduates.

   2. Cumulative Core GPA shall be derived from the transcript produced through the Student Transcript System (STS) Louisiana State Department of Education database.

   3. Grade-point will not be rounded.

   4. All credits must be awarded by a state-approved school.
