The Cameron Parish School Board met in special session at 1:00 p.m. on this date with the following members present: Pat Howerton - President, Glenda Abshire, Dot Theriot, Clifton Morris, and Marvin Trahan. Absent: Tony Johnson.

On motion of Mrs. Theriot, seconded by Mr. Trahan, the Board awarded the low insurance proposal to Slocum & Associates, granted the Superintendent permission to negotiate with Slocum & Associates for additional deductibles, added agenda item to ratify the resolution authorizing the Superintendent to sign the required Louisiana uninsured/underinsured motorist form reflecting a selection of lower limits of uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage, and ratified the resolution authorizing the Superintendent to sign the required Louisiana uninsured/underinsured motorist form reflecting a selection of lower limits of uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage than liability coverage. This selection is applicable to commercial automobile insurance coverage for the period 10-01-2002/2003 as presented. The Board further approved cancelling Boiler, Crime, and Bond insurance and placed all with Slocum & Associates as of 10/01/02.

On motion of Mr. Morris, seconded by Mr. Trahan, the Board adjourned.

R E S O L U T I O N

Moved by Mrs. Dot Theriot, and seconded by Mr. Marvin Trahan, the Board adopted a resolution authorizing the Superintendent to sign the required Louisiana uninsured/underinsured motorist form reflecting a selection of lower limits of uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage than liability coverage. This selection is applicable to commercial automobile insurance coverage for the period 10-01-2002/2003 as presented.
