The Cameron Parish School Board met at its regular meeting on this date and meeting was called to order at 3:59 pm, members in attendance are: Marsha Trahan, Christi Labove, Rhonda Boudreaux, Sheila Miller, John Canik, Sharon Picou and Paula Smythe. Absent: Joseph Delcambre
The prayer and the pledge were led by Mrs. Boudreaux and Mrs. Labove.
On the motion of Mrs. Picou, seconded by Mrs. Trahan, the Board approved the agenda.
On the motion of Mrs. Trahan, seconded by Mrs. Labove, the Board approved the minutes of the May 11, 2015 Cameron Parish School Board meetings, as prepared by the Superintendent.
On the motion of Mrs. Smythe, seconded by Mrs. Picou, the Board recognized Donovan Chasson, GLHS 6th grade student who placed in the top 12 in the nation in National Braille Challenge and will be traveling to compete in Los Angeles, Ca in June and motion was made for allotment of $500 for travel expenses per policy IDE, as presented by the Superintendent.
On the motion of Mrs. Boudreaux, seconded by Mr. Canik, the Board renewed a 5 year Cooperative Agreement between the Louisiana Cooperative Extension Service and Cameron Parish School Board to assure continued informal education programming, at an annual rate of $24,000., for the period July 1, 2015 through June 30,2020, as presented by the Superintendent.
On the motion of Mrs. Trahan, seconded by Mrs. Labove, the Board approved the request to rename the Hackberry High School Ag/ Processing Facility, as presented by Mr. Byron Gibbs.
On the motion of Mrs. Boudreaux, seconded by Mrs. Picou, the Board received presentation of Quarterly Report from Center of Orthopaedics, as presented by Trainer Jason Rodriguez, Center for Orthopaedics.
On the motion of Mrs. Labove, seconded by Mrs. Boudreaux the Board received the monthly report on property incomes, as prepared by Mr. Lee Bloch, Bloch, Briggs and Associates.
On the motion of Mrs. Labove, seconded by Mrs. Boudreaux the Board requested that District Attorney Jennifer Jones contact Hebert Abstract about all abstracts pertaining to properties owned by Cameron Parish School Board.
On the motion of Mrs. Boudreaux, seconded by Mrs. Labove, the Board approved the following financial issues, as presented by Mrs. Michelle Trahan:

On the motion of Mrs. Smythe, seconded by Mr. Canik, the Board approved the following financial issues, as presented by Mrs. Michelle Trahan:
· Receipt of Financial Statement and Reports of Current Investments
Discussion of school allocation for the 2015-2016 budget, as presented by Mrs. Michelle Trahan:
· The Board held a roll call vote to add the Security Resource Officers back into the proposed budget, as presented by Mrs. Trahan.

· On the motion of Mrs. Trahan, seconded by Mrs. Labove, the Board approved to add the Security Resource Officers back into the proposed budget.
· On the motion of Mrs. Boudreaux, seconded by Mrs. Smythe, the Board approved to allocate the following maintenance allotments:
o $1500. – Grand Lake High School and Hackberry High School
o $750. – South Cameron High School and Johnson Bayou High School
· On the motion of Mrs. Trahan, seconded by Mrs. Boudreaux, the Board approved to allocate $200 per teacher allotment, with ink cost not to be considered in part of allotment.
· On the motion of Mrs. Trahan, seconded by Mrs. Picou, the Board approved to allocate $5.00 per student based on February 01, 2015 enrollment for copier costs, as presented by Mrs. Michelle Trahan.
· On the motion of Mrs. Smythe, seconded by Mrs. Trahan, the Board approved to remove the library allocation.
· On the motion of Mrs. Boudreaux, seconded by Mrs. Labove, the Board approved to allocate $50 per student in the vocational programs.
· On the motion of Mrs. Trahan, seconded by Mrs. Labove, the Board approved to allocate the following school/office supply allotments:
o $2000. – Grand Lake High School
o $1000. – South Cameron High School, Hackberry High School and Johnson Bayou High School
· On the motion of Mrs. Smythe, seconded by Mrs. Boudreaux, the Board approved to allocate $30 per student for ink allotments.
On the motion of Mrs. Boudreaux, seconded by Mrs. Smythe, the Board approved the following financial issues, as presented by Mrs. Michelle Trahan:
· Receipt of Eagle Asset Management Report
· Receipt of monthly report on FEMA Project Worksheets, as prepared by Hoffpauir Architects
· Receipt of information regarding Investment Management services provider for the Cameron Parish School Board
On the motion of Mrs. Boudreaux, seconded by Mrs. Trahan, the Board received for recommendations for 30 day review revisions to Policy JCDA, Student Code of Conduct, per annual Discipline Policy Review Committee meeting, as presented by the Superintendent.
On the motion of Mrs. Trahan, seconded by Mrs. Labove, the Board approved changes to policy JGB- School Wellness as presented at the April 2015 Cameron Parish School Board meeting, as presented by Cynthia Carpenter, Supervisor Child Nutrition Services.
On the motion of Mrs. Boudreaux, seconded by Mrs. Labove, the Board approved current construction bid activities, as presented by Steven Reed, Hoffpauir Project Management Team:
A. Projects to be bid- James Hoffpauir, Project Management
· South Cameron High School Parking Lot- FEMA PW4813- pending FEMA approval/appeal
· South Cameron High School Gym Ceiling- Rita Alt- FEMA- PW 4753- Requested to FEMA 4-13-15 Waiting on FEMA approval

On the motion of Mrs. Boudreaux, seconded by Mrs. Labove, the Board approved Sam Istre Construction, Inc., low bidder, as General Contractor for South Cameron High School Phase II Stadium Fencing/ Landscaping-CDBG- Bids received May 26, 2015, as presented by Steven Reed, Hoffpauir Project Management Team

On the motion of Mrs. Boudreaux, seconded by Mrs. Labove, the Board approved authorizing the Superintendent to advertise for new bids and accept low bids on currently advertised projects due to requisite number of advertising days and a need to move forward on projects, as presented by the Superintendent.
On the motion of Mrs. Boudreaux, seconded by Mrs. Labove, the Board approved updates on current FEMA, CDBG and General Fund Construction, Repairs, and Renovations to permanent and temporary sites' projects from Hoffpauir Architects, LLC, Cameron Parish School Board's Project Management Firm, as presented by Hoffpauir Architects, LLC and Project Architects.
On the motion of Mrs. Picou, seconded by Mrs. Boudreaux, the Board approved Change Order No. 11 on the Johnson Bayou High School Project, as presented by the Superintendent, Hoffpauir Architects, LLC and Project Architect.
On the motion of Mrs. Boudreaux, seconded by Mrs. Picou the Board received the Superintendent’s report, as presented by the Superintendent.

Superintendent’s Report

Please accept this report regarding my efforts to meet the following Performance Objectives as outlined in Exhibit A of my employment contract:
1. Human Resource Management
a. Participated in a webinar on the Worxtime Program for monitoring the requirements for our system to implement requirements of the Health Care Act.
b. Met with Principals of each school to review results of COMPASS evaluation and to confirm staffing needs for 2015-2016 school year.
2. District Operations and Financial Management
a. Met with Project Management Team and Architect regarding the disposition of modular classrooms at Johnson Bayou High School.
b. Met with Central Office staff to review/revise budget needs for 2015-2016 school year.
3. Student Growth and Achievement
a. Met with Discipline Review Committee to review/revise parish discipline policy.
b. Met with Teacher Leader representatives to plan participation in the upcoming Teacher Leader Summit.
c. Met with District Test Co-coordinator to review testing irregularities during recent system-wide testing and to develop plan on how the situations will be prevented in the future.
4. Communication and Community Relations
a. Attended graduation ceremonies at Grand Lake, Hackberry, South Cameron, and Johnson Bayou High Schools.
5. Organizational Leadership
a. Attended the Southwest Louisiana Workforce Commission Meeting at the SEED Center on McNeese campus.
b. Met with new LDOE Network 3 Support Team to discuss future plans for Cameron Parish Schools and how the Network will be able to support us.
