OVERTIME
Support personnel who are eligible for overtime compensation shall be paid overtime pay for approved work beyond forty (40) hours per week. Any overtime pay earned by an eligible employee shall be at a rate of one and one-half (1½) the employee's regular hourly rate of pay. In lieu of overtime pay, the employee may select compensatory time at the same rate as described above. Any overtime work (hours worked beyond forty (40) in one week) shall be approved by the Superintendent or designee prior to the work being performed.
Eligible employees are defined as those employees who have been classified as non-exempt for purposes of overtime compensation in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act. Exempt employees shall be those employees who are paid based on a Fixed Salary derived from the teacher or administrative salary schedule and/or for positions requiring a bachelor's degree or higher.
