Below is an updated list of face to face re-opening timelines by schools and grade levels, as well as additional information:
JBHS-PreK-12 Teachers returned on 10/19, students returned on 10/21
HHS PreK-5 Teachers returned 10/22, students returned on 10/26
HHS 6-12 2 Options- #1 student’s may continue with current Virtual Learning until HHS opens as planned. #2 On Wednesday, 11/4, we will begin running a bus from HHS to JBHS daily for any students wanting face to face instruction. The students choosing option #2 will be with their respective teachers from HHS at JBHS. I ask all parents/guardians wanting option #2, please contact Mrs. Paulette Campbell and notify her of your intentions so she may plan accordingly.
HHS Campus re-opening, 6th-12th grades, teachers and students, will tentatively return to campus at the end of November/beginning of December.
GLES PreK-6 Teachers returned 10/22, students returned on 10/26
GLHS 7-12 Teachers will return on Monday, 11/2, and Wednesday, 11/4, (National Election day is Tuesday 11/3 which is a holiday) students will return on Thursday, 11/5.
SCHS PreK-3 Teachers returned on 10/22, students returned on 10/26. These students participating in face to face instruction are doing so at GLES with their respective teachers from SC.
SCHS 4-12 Teachers will return on Monday, 11/2, and Wednesday, 11/4, (National Election day is Tuesday 11/3 which is a holiday) students will return on Thursday, 11/5. These students participating in face to face instruction are doing so at GLHS with their respective teachers from SC.
SCHS Campus re-opening. As of Tuesday 10/28, we are still on track for a December 1st start back at SCHS campus. Our architects are now working with engineers on the design of the temp stairwells. That design will then be submitted to the Fire Marshal for approval. Construction of the stairwells will take approximately 3 weeks from start date.
Also, for students not staying in the immediate area, Mr. Barnett is continuing to work with the principals to develop a plan of expanding pick up and drop off of students at centralized locations. Details regarding those plans will be released by the schools as soon as they are available.
Also, just a friendly reminder, all CPSB facilities will be closed on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 is observance of Election Day.
