Virtual Students

December 11, 2020

Parents of Virtual Students,

The first semester of the 2020-2021 school year will end on Monday, January 11, 2021. This will be the last day that your student will be able to complete any activities for dates before January 11, 2021 on the course pacing guides. Every activity in every course is assigned a due date and should be completed on or before that date. All activities labeled overdue on January 12, 2021 will be assigned a grade of “0.”

Semester 1 will not be extended for any of our students. I do realize that this might cause some panic as this deadline approaches, but please remember that I am fully aware of all of the obstacles and hardships that semester has presented. There are still 32 days remaining in this first semester. There is still plenty of time for students to get back on track. Please remember that virtual students have access to their coursework on the virtual platform 7 days a week/24 hours a day.

As parents, you can access your student’s virtual courses. I strongly encourage you to use this opportunity to monitor your student’s progress over the next few weeks, and motivate and encourage them to finish this semester strong-despite the challenges this semester has presented.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have.
