The Cameron Parish School Board has become aware of a post that has been shared widely on the social media platform TikTok. The post refers to a threat to school safety “for every school in the USA” on Friday, December 17.
The post appears to be part of a national TikTok trend and did not originate in our school district. However, CPSB is working in conjunction with the Cameron Parish Sheriff’s Office to ensure the safety of all students and staff by providing additional law enforcement officers on campus today.
CPSB will take all threats seriously and any person participating in ANY threats made to the safety of our schools will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and face expulsion.
If you or your child becomes aware of any potential threat posted to social media or anywhere else, please notify a school staff member or trusted adult right away.
