Schools remain closed....

At this time all Cameron Parish School Board facilities and operations are closed/suspended beginning Monday March 16, 2020 through May 1, 2020. Pending the Governor’s Stay at Home order is lifted on April 30, 2020, the District is planning for an In-Service Day for all Staff on May 1, 2020 and May 4, 2020 will be students return to school day.

Testing suspended by Governor Edwards

The waiver to suspend testing submitted by Governor Edwards was approved by the US Department of Education on Friday, March 20, 2020. This means Louisiana will not require standardized testing for the 2019-2020 school year. The state will also exclude testing data from performance measures for the current school year.

Who can receive a meal?

Cameron Parish School Board will serve "meals to all children 18 years of age and younger regardless of the school/school system in which the child is enrolled. In addition, overage students enrolled in public K-12 schools, including students with disabilities through age 22, are eligible for free meals at open sites. School Closure Meal Availability Program

Beginning Wednesday, March 18, the Cameron Parish School Board will be providing to-go breakfast and lunch meals to all children 18 years of age and younger regardless of the school/school system in which the child is enrolled. In addition, overage students enrolled in public K-12 schools, including students with disabilities through age 22, are eligible for free meals at open sites. Those meals can be obtained Monday-Thursday from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm at the following locations: Grand Lake School, Hackberry School, Johnson Bayou School, South Cameron School.
