The last thing I want to talk about today is mask. Okay first thing I have one here in my hand. This is probably the style mask you are going to be issued from the school. It may not necessarily be white I've requested that it be a darker color possibly even a school colors they had them wasn't real sure if they have them or not but anyway it's going to be a regular cloth but I think this is a Hanes mask. So this is cloth put on and wear it I'm not going to put it on today but they will wear it This is what they'll be given if you want to take this maybe if you want to paint this mask customize it, put your kids initials on it. I've seen a bunch, pretty with initials maybe even put the school logo that's your business. I don't mind that but again just what I'm telling you about the mask is if you choose to buy your own for your child and a decorative or one  that has a design on it or certain colors that's your own prerogative; whatever it takes your child to wear these but please remember nothing nothing vulgar nothing that's it that's not acceptable in terms of uniform okay. If it's if it's questionable, don't wear it. Aright so these are what they look like. I think they had some questions surrounding with what they are calling neck Gaitors okay And basically what that is it looks like a big scarf that you just slide over your head is solid and it's in rest around your neck and then you can just pull it up whenever you want. To be honest with you as a fisherman these things are very comfortable I bought some for my personal children to wear when they go to school. To my understanding these will be acceptable. I specifically asked the ladies or the guy, Dr. Welch with the Department of Health if there was any stipulations or anything that any requirements or guidelines that these masks had to meet and his answer to me was no. They don't have to be made out of a certain material, they don't have to be designed a certain way they just have to basically cover the nose and the mouth as such. Okay so there's many, many different types of masks that you may find for your child to wear. Please find something that's comfortable to them and let them start getting used to it. That's one last thing I'm going to leave you with. Right now today the BESE is going to meet and it's my understanding they're going to make it known whether or not they're going to mandate the use of these masks. What I'm telling you right now I was thinking of what I told you last week. While they're not mandated we're strongly recommending that our students 3 through 12 wear them, especially on the bus and especially during the transition from class to class or areas of school to another area. OK, that's what we're asking please please please have this conversation with your children about the importance of the the masks. Okay this will help relieve a lot of stress with the teachers. Okay I don't really want it to be on the teachers to force your child to wear the mask. If you can start now having a conversation, that would make the start of school so much easier when it comes to those masks. Again I said before, if your child has a pre-existing medical condition, It's my understanding they are exempt from wearing a mask. I had that question, so probably all we need is some sort of documentation from the doctor that says your child has asthma or your child has difficulty breathing or whatever it is, it doesn't matter get it to us, get it to an administrator and then we'll keep that on file and on record. Okay lastly we talked about it last week, please also have those conversations with your children about sanitization wash your hands, wash your hands wash your hands. That's the one thing Department of Health is preaching to us. These three things: Number one wash your hands, two wear a mask and three socially distance, in those orders Ok we are being told that the washing of hands and sanitation of hands, whether it be sanitizer, or whatever it is, is one of the one of the most important things that we can do. Okay so we're going to preach at at school, we're going to make sure that they use hand sanitizer to keep clean but right now we still have a month before school starts. Make sure that your children are starting to learn to wash your hands, if they're not already. Make them wash them every couple hours. Okay let them get used to that. These are things that's going to make the transition into school very seamless for our teachers and allow them to focus & concentrate on educating the children. We're going to upload some flowcharts, probably today or tomorrow for parents and employees to follow on the different scenarios, whether or not they have a direct contact with somebody or if they're just showing symptoms, so it would be very easy for a parent or employer whoever the stakeholder is to look at these charts and figure out where to go from there. okay so again thank you for your time.
